Engineering Services also provides technical consulting and support for other divisions within Capital Projects.

Our team has a wide range of responsibilities, including:
- Providing systemwide technical support for all IU campuses, including technical services for:
- HVAC systems
- Plumbing and fire protection systems
- High- and low-voltage electrical systems
- Interior and exterior lighting systems
- Utility distribution systems
- Master planning
- Infrastructure for data and audio/video systems
- Fire alarm and security systems
- Energy efficient systems
- Performing analyses of heating, cooling, electrical, and lighting systems
- Developing plans and specifications for in-house or contracted construction projects
- Reviewing design work performed by outside consultants for new or renovation projects
- Developing and maintaining design standards for mechanical and electrical systems
- Preparing documents using the latest version of AutoCAD and engineering software
- Providing information related to mechanical, plumbing, and electrical code compliance
- Providing information related to current environmental and OSHA regulations for Physical Plant/Facility Operations staff
- Participating in commissioning of building systems
- Providing cost estimates and budget for engineering systems
