IU appoints its first chief sustainability officer
Jessica Davis has been named associate vice president and IU’s first chief sustainability officer, where she will lead efforts related to the university’s new Climate Action Plan.
IU Climate Action Plan approved
Built over the past year through research and input from the university community, the plan establishes a pathway for IU to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040.
IUPUI and IUB place in United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
IUPUI and IUB placed #8 and #22, respectively, in the US for delivering on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, the only global performance metric that assesses universities against the SDGs. This was IUB’s first year reporting, and IUPUI maintained its rank for the third year in a row, despite an additional 330+ universities participating.

The Indiana University Climate Action Planning Committee has scheduled open forums for Indiana University students, faculty and staff to learn about the work of IU’s Climate Action Planning Committee and share ideas with committee members.
