Project description
This project involved relocating data rack-mounted cooling units from the Wrubel Computing Center to the Indiana University Data Center on the IU Bloomington campus. All mechanical and electrical infrastructures necessary to support the Big Red computer as well as chilled water taps and header piping were provided. Hot aisle/cold aisle analyses was performed to optimize the cooling rack efficiencies. Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) controls; additional uninterruptable power supply (UPS) facilities; and connections to the existing standby generator were also included.
