Project description

This project will include the development of an approximately 150,000 gross square foot, five-story research facility located within the 16 Tech Innovation District on the IU Indianapolis campus. The building will house a mix of research and teaching laboratories, classrooms, administrative space, and support functions, strategically positioned to connect with and support the region’s growing life sciences ecosystem. Designed for long-term flexibility, the facility will incorporate adaptable lab and building systems to accommodate evolving research needs. Site development will include demolition of existing infrastructure and installation of new utilities and support systems, along with parking, pedestrian pathways, loading areas, and an outdoor event space. Together, these improvements will create a modern, connected, and scalable environment for innovation and collaboration.
